Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world....
from The Second Coming, William Butler Yeats, 1919
The middle of the road is all of the usable surface.
The extremes, right and left, are in the gutters.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez Calls Capitalism Irredeemable

Too far left.
Some of AOC's positions are too extreme, and wrong! Capitalism, free markets, competition have done great good in the world and helped to raise standards of living for billions of human beings.
On the other hand, AOC can make an important contribution by reminding us of problems that have been created by, or exacerbated by, capitalism. Damage to the environment for example.
AOC is too extreme, but her criticisms can remind us of problems we need to work on. We should not work on them by abandoning capitalism, of course, but by improving it with appropriate rules and regulations.
